Default TrXus STS vs MT ATZ's

What are your opinions of these two tires.. I love MT's, but they're nogood in the snow and too loud for this loe boy on the highway.. How do the STS's and ATZ's handle compared to each other? Which tire do you think is meaner looking? If you guys have any pics of either, please post them up.. I can't make up my mind between the two..

The STS is a top notch tire in the sand and snow. It has a lot more biting edges than the ATZ, so I would rate the STS above that of the ATZ in terms of traction. As biting edges equals traction when you are in sand, snow, and wet pavement.

As far as noise level, The STS is fairly quiet. I would say its on par with other AT's. Very slight hum at HWY speeds. Be sure to keep them rotated otherwise they will start to cup and get loud.

Interco isn't famous for making tyres that are the correct size or good quality. Mickey Thompson are heaps better quality.

True

I am running STS and they are pretty good on sand.
they are a bit louder at high speeds,
not very good on wet surfaces.

thats my experience so far.

Don't compare their bias ply tires to their radials (STS is a radial). Bias ply tires by nature will get out of round from sitting, and will never ride as smooth as a radial. As for being the correct size, Interco is one of the very few companies where the rated tire size is almost exactly the actual size, or sometimes even larger (a 33" TSL is 34" tall for instance). Majority of radials run 1/2 to 3/4 inch less than the advertised size.

I love the look of the mud tires (ie. MTZ and Grapplers) but they're aweful in the snow and not very good in the sand.. It seems that the AT are superior than the AT's in snow, sand, and road but aren't as mean/good looking.. I think the ATZ's and STS's the best looking AT's out there.. I run alot in the sand and snow.. Have you been out in the snow with STS's?

Great looking rig.. What are the specs? Those STS's look mean in the pic, but it's hard to judge in a pic how something really looks in real life... How do they look in person compared to an MT?
