i havent seen this one in a long time and i cant seem to find a pic of it.

but
it was an all steel square tube that went up the side of the window like any other snorkel, but it curved like a candy cane at the top.

and instead of starting at the front end of the fender it came out kind of where the "trail rated" badge would be on the passenger side

does anyone know which one i am thinking of

 

perhaps you're thinking of river raider? i believe they re-designed theirs but i'm almost positive it used to be squared off like you described. if you check out their site it's a lot smoother now but it still has the air ram on top (i'm assuming that's the candy cane thing you were talking about)
