Anyone install one in a 2012 yet?

From what I can tell there aren't many interior changes in the 2012. I would like to have one of these ready to install the day mine arrives (next week hopefully), but thought I would check and see if there were any fit issues. I contacted Northridge 4x4 and they were not sure about fit.

Can anyone confirm nothing has changed under the seat from 2011?

 

I belive that I read in another post that there are some wires under the drivers seat that have to be re routed but it will fit.

 

Yeah, I read an write-up on the 2011 install. I think it is the heated seat wire bracket that needs removed and the wires then zip-tied up. If there were no changes in the 2012 it should be a snap. Hopefully someone has put one in and can confirm. Otherwise, I'll be the guinea pig.

 

Is it a 2012 2dr or unltd? If it's a 2 door check the drivers seat, push it forward and see if it slides and tilts or just slides. If it just slides your good to go, if it tilts your SOL.

 

Unlimited....so I assume I am good to go, but I was hoping somebody here had already installed one.

 

Not definitive but the 2012 looked the same to me under there. Neighbor traded up and I was giving it a good look to see if I could see any difference. Somebody has to be first . Absolutley zero issue on a 2011. As was mentioned, a bracket needs to be removed and the wires relocated out of harms way. By far the easiest addition I ever made.

 

I can't say for sure yet since we haven't gotten our hands on a 2012, but I don't think there will be any troubles fitting this in a 2012 4 door. We'll post up Tuffy product fits ASAP!

 

Not to hijack this thread, but does this mean the Tuffy console fits the 2011 2 door as long as you relocate the bracket holding all the wires under the driver's seat? Is there a write-up on this?

 

From what I understand no. The bracket relocation applies to the 4 door 2011 and (hopefully) the 2012. Someone else with more knowledge may correct me. And no worries on the hijack.

 

Thanks! I assume no fit issues either. I think I'll order today so I can have it by next week. Plan to go topless on day one and want a way to secure some items.
