Default Tuffy Full Console Question

Does anyone know if the Tuffy full console will work with the CoolTech switchmount? I have a manual transmission if that makes a difference.

Thanks!

It appears that the two would work together. This is the first I have seen of the CoolTech switchmount but based on the images from their web site, it should work with the Tuffy console. The front part of the Tuffy console for the manual transmission, goes under the dash just like the factory console does.

Post pictures when you're done -- I've been considering this upgrade also, and I have the CoolTech switch mount.

Thanks,
js.

You got it. If it's here in time, I plan on installing it next Saturday. The wife will be out of town, so I have all weekend to tinker with the Jeep. Do you have a auto or manual transmission?

Well, I got my Tuffy full console installed last Friday and I'm happy to report it does work with the CoolTech switchmount. The installation was a lot tougher than I thought, mainly because I was doing it by myself. If I had another person helping it would've been much easier to put it in place as well as run all the wires (PA speaker, external speaker, coax, power for CB and power for aux outlet). I had a slight problem with the emergency brake hitting the coax coming from the CB, but I fixed that with a right-angle adapter on the coax as well as on the mic and then just moved the CB up a bit.

A big thanks goes out to David at Northridge and Jeff at Tuffy. I went on a trip last weekend and wanted to get it installed before I left. David made sure that the order was processed ASAP and it was shipped the same day I ordered it. One of the parts was scratched up (thanks to UPS), so Jeff sent me a replacement right away. He also helped answer a few questions concerning the CB mount. Great service from both of them!!!

I still have to run the rest of the cabling for the PA and external speakers and mount both of them, but that should be a fairly easy job now. Before anyone decides to reply with , don't worry they're coming. I just have to find the cable for my camera...

Mike

What type of CB did you mount and how wide is it. I have a RCI 2950 Radio and would like to know if it will fit. Thanks
