Default Tuffy security deck question

So, for those of you with 2dr jeeps and the 07-10 model security deck , I have a question: is there any way to still carry your back seat while the box is fully installed? If you want to use the seat do you only have to remove the top and back? I really want to get this product but want to be able to still use the rear seats every now and then. Thanks!

The bad news is the sides interfere with the seat. The sides bolt onto the seat attachment points. So it's one or the other.

The good news is you can pop out the security deck pretty quickly. With practice, it maybe takes 15-20 minutes.

I have a 2011 with the Tuffy Manufacturer Part No: 275-01. You can run it with the seat folded up then just reove top and back to fold out seat.

I just spoke with Tuffy on the phone and was informed that even with the top and back panels removed on the 07-10 model the rear seat cannot be installed. You would have to remove the side panels also because they share mounting points with the seats. This fact makes the question of storing the rear seat in the tumbled position a moot point... Not worth having to completely remove the whole deck to use the rear seat. I wish i could put a 11-12 version in!!! it looks like I will be looking at either the bestop instatrunk or the tuffy tailgate enclosure.
