I agree 100 percent. Not for me at all.

I'm not digging the looks of that either... It kinda sticks out (the color is too dark) and not liking the bends...

The lock cylinder should perhaps be recessed.

It comes in other colors, or they plan it coming in other colors..
I do not care for it.
I have a hard top, an alarm and dont leave anything that important
in the Jeep so I have no need for this luckily!

I am considering one of those TruckVaults though!

We looked at these at the Pomona show last weekend. Didnt like the fact that the lock stuck out. Definately a place to smack a knee when bouncing on rocks. I did buy their rear drawer and center consol though.

yeah, i wish it fit a little better in place of the stock one. i'll be curious to see the color ones and see if they match.

i have always been pleased with bestop products. i have their instatrunk now and it is a nice little piece.

everyone with a jeep knows that you shouldn't leave anything of value in it, but lets face it.....there are certain times when you don't have any choice. i keep a backpack with me at all times and take it with me when i leave the jeep. but in instances where that is not acceptable (i.e. walking into a retail store with a backpack???) the tuffy products make it great as a temporary security measure. another example is when i carry a firearm. many places prohibit firearms so i can either lock it discreetly in my bestop instatrunk and cubby cover or i can illegally walk in with my firearm. insurance covers my valuables.

there's no way i would ever keep anything of value in the tuffy console or glovebox because thats the first place thieves would look/attempt to break into. they're more for keeping honest people honest.
