Default Tuner Chips??

I know this has probally been asked 100 times, but what are the differences and best tuner chips. Was looking at Hypertech, Superchip, JET, and Procal. Just now found the Aeroforce gauge that tunes also. Is one any better then the other or they all do basically the same thing.

well, the procal is not a tuner, it just allows you to set your speedo and turn basic things on and off. the only other programmers i'm familiar with are the hypertech and superchips and they do tune and provide additional features much like the procal.

I can't tell you the differences between the makes but I have a Superchips Flashpaq and it does what I need it to do. There is a preformance setting to wake that 3.8 motor up, you have the ability to turn those damn chimes off for the TPMS and you can also have the lockers on in 4 HI. That's just a short list, it has the ability to do many more things

I have a hypertech and my Brother-in-law has a superchips. The superchips is much better.

Hypertech will be coming out with a downloadable update for TPMS shut off. No time frame but they told me via email it was coming.

Interested in hearing how the Superchip's "'Wakes up the 3.8'" as far as performance. When you get it please be sure to expand on your input please!

I've had the Superchips for a couple months now and very satisfied with it. It won't turn your Jeep into a sports car by any means, but there is a fair more amount of low end torque and able to accelerate a bit faster. I 've been running the 87 tune which got me some of the mpg's back that I lost when I went to 33's.
Jpop did a great review of it.

Yes. And the tuner works for all jeeps that superchips lists not just your JK. Although you can only tune one vehicle at a time. But I liked the fact that if I sell the JK and get a different jeep or even a new JK that has an updated engine (pentastar 2012) that the superchips tuner will eventually work with it as well. This last weekend just for shits and giggles I put my JK back to stock and tuned my dad's 4.7L Grand Cherokee with it. That thing rips when you get rid of the throttle lag! Now my dad wants to buy one as well.
