Default Type of paint for exhaust

Hey all - just pulled the trigger on the MBRP exhaust from Dave at Northridge! I was going to go with the black, but found out it's not stainless steel - it's actually aluminized. On Dave's recommendation I went with the better quality stainless steel and plan to paint before assembly.

What types of grill paint/high heat paint do y'all recommend?

Thanks!

I got the black cat-back MBRP. Looked good for the first year.

If you bought stainless, do yourself a favor and leave it alone. My friends SS cat-back system is older than mine and it still looks great!

Default dupli color

Hey normal.... if you do decide to paint it definitely use the (Dupli-Color) Engine Enamel w/Ceramic. It has been dyno tested at 500 degrees. I used this on my stock exhaust to blend in with the rest of the body so it didnt stick out like a sore thumb.. But why not just order yours in black instead.

On MBRP's suggestion I used black BBQ paint and it came out great. I have the blacked out theme going. I wanted the stainless exhaust for corrosion reasons (michigan winters) but still wanted the black look.
