You will be okay with 32" tires and some 33" tires if they aren't too wide (around 10 1/2") This would also be = to 285/70/17's.

Good luck.

Browse the Wheels and Tires section when you get a chance. Lots of good info there in the FAQ's.

I've seen 33's on a stock 2 door. Granted, he had aftermarket wheels with a different backspacing.

I actually ran 295/70/17 (33.5"x11.5") on stock suspension for about a week prior to my lift. I did have wheels with 4.5 back space though. The only rubbing I had was at full turn it would hit the plastic under the front bumper. I wouldn't off road that way at all. With stock rims it would be a bad deal.

im about to put the 29570r17 on my rubicon and dont want to lift it 4.5 backspacing, was it the over hang of the front bumper you hit? did you flex it at all? the other tire size option is 285/75/17 but thats a wider tire wouldnt that be worse?

The 285 would be narrower than the 295.

It was the junkie plastic that covers the e-disco on the Rubicon. VERY LIGHT flex was all I attempted and it was okay but I never disconnected or got it in serious flex.

The 285/75 isn't wider, it's taller.

Here's the breakdown: 285/75 295/70

sidewall Ht= 8.4" 8.1"
width = 11.2" 11.6"
diameter= 33.8" 33.3"
