U1418 TCB update
So I've been dealing with the U1418 TCB for the last few months. "Implausible Right Wheel Distance Signal". U1417 is the left side.
I have the Bullydog GT and the Traction Control turned off but this still overrides that feature and locks or drags the brakes. So I have to turn OFF the ESP manually to get it to drive.
I replaced the front right unit bearing and sensor because the front right brake kept locking up so the dealer told me that's why. Cleared the codes and it happened right away. The said to replace the rear sensor, cleared the codes and it still happened. Then noticed a wire was pulled away from the sensor plug. Fixed that and problem solved. Another case of the dealer just throwing parts at a problem until it's fixed. Luckily I did all the work myself so I am only out a couple hours and $100. Plus I have a spare unit bearing and front sensor for the trail. Plus I needed an excuse to rip the front end apart and replace the Ujoints.
