Default Ultimate 60s questions

Cuople things for those of you that have installed them:

On the front diff cover there are two plugs. One is about 2" above the other. Which is the fluid fill level? I called Spicer tech line and he said the lower but didn't sound very confident in his response. I just want to here what others have been told.

Also, the two wires stubbed out for the lockers. This person told me one is for 12V input and the other is the signal wire for the light on the dash. Since I don't have a Rubi he said I'll only run 12V to the correct wire and do nothing with the other. He said it will get ground through the chassis. Is this true.

Thanks

Not sure on the cover, but did you ask what the fill quantity is? I usually go by how many pints/quarts.

For the indicator, it doesn't have to be wired to anything. However, I liked the feature of knowing if my locker is engaged or not. You can use a Carling Cotura switch, which has two lights. Wire it so the large light goes on when you power the locker and the small light goes on when it engages. Or, wire a second small LED for the indicator.

Cool, thank you. I have the capacities with the spec sheet sent with the axles. I'll go by that and see which hole it is for future reference. I'll try to remember to post my findings here.

Isn't the locker just a standard eaton E locker? I have read other guys have been wiring them hot and ground to an sPOD.

Correct, e-locker. Same as wiring a stock rubi axle. Needs 12v and a ground.

Does one wire get 12v and the other ground, or is it getting ground through the chassis like the Spicer tech said. He had said the second wire is only for the light on the dash and not to run ground to it.

RANT:

You buy $11000 worth of axles and you don't get the 1350 u-joint straps and bolts. Went to two part stores tonight and a Dodge/Jeep dealer and came home empty handed. Will be on the phone tomorrow with Spicer techs to see what cap/strap and bolts I need.

Sorry for the rant. Maybe someone that's done this already can tell me what application these flanges are from and where you got yours.

Little research online and found these. I believe this is what I need.

Genuine Spicer 3 70 28x Strap Kit 1350 1410 Series | eBay

Will be calling NAPA tomorrow. Can anyone confirm this is indeed what I need.

This is what my flange looks like and it's for 1350 u joints:
