Wayoflife,>>WoW!,..quite a respectable showing for a the Sahara, now the important part, ....What all did they do to that JK. From an all out Suspension lift /(Disco's) & Tire mod's, to front&rear Lockers, under armour( skids), or are they running L/S Diff straight Sahara running gear. This is quite a task and showing the rear capabilities of the JK in any form.

Hey Thx,.....but I got lucky & found the rightup,....pretty well stock other that the lift / tire , etc. Very Impressive showing.... Piece of the article below.>>

Now, just so that we’re all on the same page here, we’re talking about driving a JK Unlimited automatic that’s been lifted with a Full Traction 4″ Ultimate short arm kit, is sitting on top of 37″ Toyo Open Country A/T’s and is running J.E. Reel Drivelines but is otherwise stock when it comes to its drivetrain. It’s still running a stock Dana 30 front and Dana 44 rear axles, stock 4.10 gears, no lockers and it only has a 2.72:1 Command Track transfer case. And, aside from the over-drive being rendered completely useless due to the 37’s and being pulled over by a cop once just so he could get a better look at this awesome JK, Mel tells me that it drove great, rode great and even performed way better than he thought it would on and off the trail.

Did they mod that front bumper to fit the stock fog lamps or is PureJeep offering something new?

The PureJeep bumpers are what I have on my "to be ordered" list. I like the idea of having mounting spots for the stock lamps.

they are making holes for the stock lamps...thats how mine is suppose to be coming.

I'm not suprised the D30 takes that abuse, around here most guys run TJ's with 37's locked with hardly any issues... And if they beefed them up for the JK's im not planning on swapping mine out anytime soon..

Good article! and good pics!

PUREJEEP will be offering several different front bumpers including ones that can accomodate the factory fog lights like you see here to ones that have a recessed winch plate and light mounts as well as additional options that include grill guard/light bars

That's good to know, I was looking at their original offerings and seeing this option added is nice.

After taking a second look I realized they mounted the winch on top of the bumper as others have to have room for the lights. The questions has been whether blocking the grill/radiator like that will cause over-heating.

I'm assuming that isn't an issue? They took a long trip and apparently didn't have issue but we are in cooler winter months (flat out cold for some of us). Will hot summer months have a big impact and potentially cause over-heating?

What do you folks think? Is this an indication that we may not need to worry about it or simply able to get away with it cause of the cooler weather?
