Default Umm Shock gurus look!

My rear Bilstein shocks are seeping a bit of black oil, is this normal? Had the on almost a year and just noticed this. They are not bouncing and I could tell if they were completely blown, is this a precurser?

First it's the drivshaft gurus you need...now the shock gurus. Dangit, what's next??? For the record, no it ain't normal. I've never been impressed with them kinda shocks at ALL. Chevrolet had to replace BOOCOOS of um during the early to mid ninties. Know why? Leakin.

Leaking is not normal. Call Bilstein, they just might replace them for you.

I had bilsteins on my TJ and loved them. The key is having a shock that is specifically built for your spring rate. On my TJ, I had a teraflex lift and springs which the bilsteins were specifically designed for (so I was told by Bilstein). Based on performance, I would have to agree. When it comes time for new shcoks on my JK, I will be calling bilstein first, but most importantly, I will have a shock that is designed specifically for the springs I have. There are a lot of options out there now; there has to be a perfect match out there for every spring and a person's wants.

Yeah, david at northridge told me to call Superlift to see if they'll replace em since they came with the kit, have a funny feeling they'll tell me to call bilstein.
