Default Underseat Box - Tuffy or Bestop

From my research there doesn't seem to be much of a difference between the Bestop and Tuffy brands in regards to the under seat lock box. It looks like the drawer on the Tuffy extends out further than the Bestop. However, for the price difference, just it justify getting the Tuffy (more expensive)?

What do ya'll think? Or am I missing something on the differences between these two units?

Thanks.

I previously had the tuffy and now in the new Jk the bestop.

Tuffy is just better in all categories except the price.

Bestop keys suck

Bestop only opens half way. G26 still fits in just fine

Hands down Tuffy!

USA made product.
The interior space is larger.
The drawer fully extends.
Better keying system, can key alike with other Tuffy products.

But don't take my word for it, the pictures in this thread tell it like it is...

Yes hands down tuffy. I have the tuffy under my seat and it works like a charm. Easy access, the keys don't suck, it has a big amount of space. Tuffy all the way

I have the bestop and I haven't had any issues. It was just what I was looking for. I don't have any issues with the key or storing the items I want in it.

Bought the Bestop for the price savings. Returned it and bought the Tuffy instead.

The link above talks about the quality differences, but I like the Tuffy for the greater amount of usable storage space. And the swap from key to a combination lock is a pretty nifty feature too.

You will only like the Bestop one if you have never seen the Tuffy!

It 2 years now. No problems, and would buy it again.

My last JK i had the Tuffy box and it was great. This time I got the Bestop boxes because I could buy 2 for the price of 1 and have storage on both sides. Still working on a key alike solution.

The useable interior space on these drawers is surprisingly little, both could have been designed better to take optimum advantage of the available underseat space, even if the modest selling price was raised a little.

In any case, I bought the Tuffy simply because it was larger and wouldnt want to try cramming gear into the smaller Bestop drawer.
