Default Undo Front Lower Cam Bolts

On a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport. I currently have a 3.5 rubicon express lift that I did not install. It uses cam bolts to adjust the front lower control arms. I want to upgrade to adjustable control arms or AEV brackets. How do I undo the cam bolt hole? I think the factory mount on the front axle was made bigger for the cam bolt. How do I put the hole back to factory. Hopefully I have this correct. I am no expert but I am pretty handy if I know what I am doing. I hope no welding is involved, I don't know how to weld.

The 'ol cam bolt fix. Quick fix is weld washers to make oblong holes return to round holes. That's a lot of lateral stress on a washer that's meant to take compression pressure. If it's a street rig, then washers may suffice. Don't know how long that fix would last. Better fix is cut/ remove and replace lower control arm bracket. I'm not a fan of cam bolts on vehicles.

Installing the AEV drop bracket may take some fabbing to fix that oblong hole.

Synergy has a "kit", it's $15. Available most anywhere that carries Synergy products but I've included a link to qtec since they pop right up on google.

Good luck with your project.

Synergy.com says it's a bolt-on fix, no welding reqd.

I've got the same setup and I was wondering the same thing. I had no idea that you would have to replace the whole bracket to fix this issue. That sucks...

Synergy's fix is good that it's thick metal and butts to tabs, but I'd still weld it in place.

Welding is ideal, but synergy *can* be done without welding.....or make things work long enough to drive to a welding shop for extra insurance.

I was afraid this was the case. I am going to try the synergy washers then later get a shop to replace the brackets. Thanks from everyone.

I don't have then factory bolt and nut. Any suggestions on where to get just those 2 bolts and nuts? I see a synergy kit for $80 but I only need to 2. Anyone have the mopar part #? Thanks.

By the way I ordered some AEV brackets.

Also I bought my jeep all done by the dealer. Bad idea. I'm sure I will end up replacing half the upgrades. It's not horrible but the more familiarize myself with my jeep the more I want something a little better. Also I don't always know exactly what was done and I don't have the factory parts that were removed like these bolts and nuts.
