Default Unsure on a tire carrier

Really unsure here looking at two options the teraflex carrier and a bumper later on if at all or a bumper/carrier combo. This is for a 35" tire on a wrangler unlimited.

The teraflex is the cheaper option and unsure of the quality of a bumper/carrier at my price range of $700.

I'd also like the rear gate to open in one motion with the tire. Any opinions?

I dont think you can go wrong with Teraflex. Mine has held up great. It also allows you more bumper options since you dont need a bumper and tire carrier combination.

I love my Teraflex, holds my 37" without ever complaining. The real upsides to me was the fact that the tailgate opens with the tire (which some bumper/carriers do) and how close it kept the tire to the jeep for the departure angle. Highly recommend the Teraflex.

If that's all you need, then get the tried-tested-and-proven Teraflex with the stock rear bumper.

Or if you have a reason to replace the bumper, then you should wait and save for a combo that suits your specific need -- my reasons : I wanted a full-width SOLID steel rear that is tough enough to take more than a knock, and has a built-in 2" hitch, opens with the tailgate, has attachment points for CB arial, D-rings and rear lights. Plus a quality build and quality finish that lasts. A number of rears fit this bill, I picked the Expedition One rear.
