Default Upgrade exhaust questions

Thinking about changing the muffler to a Magnaflow or something along those lines. Has anyone upgraded and had performance suffer from it. Ill probably be replacing just the muffler and not the whole system. Thanks

I did a full mbrp cat back, it's awesome, the muffler is a PITA to get off though. WD-40 is your best friend. And maybe a saw. In terms of performance, mine was definitely improved and sounds killer!

Im going with a 2.5" afe high tuck. 3" IS overkill for a n/a engine.

Performance in a Jeep? I went with Dynomax Evo Comp on my 07 very happy. If I had to do it again I would just go with the muffler! Good luck! research on Youtube.

I had the MBRP and my mpg went +1.

I now have the Dynomax VT and I like the sound better than the MBRP.

Performance ... definitely not a significant change better or worse over stock, all I notice is a different exhaust note.

We have the MBRP before axle muffler kit. This keeps everything tucked up high and prevents the muffler from getting smashed. It has a great sound. I wouldn't say we noticed any performance gains but then again its a Jeep lol.

MBRP all the way. I have the catback tuck exhaust. The only thing that through me off was the tailpipe dumping out the driver side. Nbd though. Sounds awesome with a slight increase in power and response.
