Upgrading to Black wheels -- Need Advice --
I currently live in New york city and i do not plan on doing much off roading, but i like the rugged look of a JK.
I am shopping around for a nice set of black wheels to put on my Rescue Green Rig and i plan on keeping my Stock tires with the new wheels since i wont be doing any wheeling and will be driving mostly in the street.
My question is:
What would be your suggestions as far as a nice black wheel for a rescue green rig, and do you have a suggestion for a tire upgrade for street driving -- good in snow? Or would you just suggest i keep my stock sahara tires?
Pictures of your Rig would be much appreciated !
Also,
Lets hope the giants pull this one out!

Running KMC XD 17" Addicts w/35x12.5 Toyo MT's

The Toyo's handle pretty well in snow and the tread might as well be counted as an AT for on road, really low noise and great tread wear. Only problem is they're expensive and heavy.

Sweet rig man! i was thinking of getting these --- very similiar
Pro comp. Not sure on the model any more. Got a good deal on them from bustabizz at 4wd. Toyo mt's won't work well in a east coast winter. Grab something with good siping like the new duratracs. I'm running them on my rig.
I attached a pic of my toys vs my duratracs. The tracs have way more siping and a way softer compound for ice grip. They still get pretty good wear as well.

I would love to have some of the ATX Beadlocks.
This was a post Project-JK made on their Facebook page a fer days ago.
Just picked up some new Falken Wildpeak ATs mounted on the new ATX Beadlock wheels for testing. Looking forward to seeing what all they can do!

Running at 6psi in 6"+ of snow. We had to turn around because our TJ snow plow was tired of taking runs for us into 3ft of the fresh stuff

Here's a good resource to look up AT/MT tires. Independent reviews w/real user input> h t t p://www.offroaders.com/tech/AT-MT-Tires/Pick_the_Right_Tires.htm
I'm not trying to say Hardbourone is wrong, I'm just happy with my Toyo's in snow/ice.

These are the 17" procomp 7105 with Goodyear mtr 37's. Very happy with them.
I've heard from a lot of people that the Bfg KM2's are a very good on road tire. MTR's are good on/off road tire. The Toyo, and Nitto tires are great off road tires and wear excellent, but are a bit heavier and harder on road.
