Nice writeup on your upgrades.
I just ordered the Mopar JL Performance 77072434 Brake upgrade kit.
Comes with dual calipers for the front with 51mm pistons and 13" rotors.
Single 48mm rear caliper with 13.5" rotors.
Here's a shot of the kit components:
I was going to do the J8 MC/BB first as you did, but came across a deal on the kit I could not refuse.
I might try it with the OEM '12 MC first(1" bore)
Then switch to the 68091278AB master cylinder for the Crown Kit(1-1/16" bore), and ultimately switch to the J8 MC/Booster setup.

It does.
The rears are a remove and replace scenario.
You have to trim about an inch or so off of the front dust shields to clear the calipers.
Rubber brake lines bolt right up.
This kit rocks too.
Awesome braking, and all off the shelf OEM parts.
Had it installed and bled in less than 3 hours in my gravel driveway.
I got mine from AMW4X4, for a really good price and free shipping. Mopar Big Brake Kit

Merry Christmas and Happy New year
If there really isn't any modification required outside of trimming that dust shield, I'm surprised they don't just sell that as listed for the JK platform as well.

I still run my BBK off my factory '13 MC and it's fine for me, though I don't drive like I stole it. I went down the path of the J8 booster/MC and it was just a headache for me. I ended up reverting back to my factory booster/MC combo.

I am running my factory booster as well.
Figured I would try this brake kit first without the J8 ,booster setup, and for me, it works fine.
I needed rear brakes anyway as they were wore just about out and I had a safety inspection due.
The pedal feels as it did stock.
I do not drive like a jackass either.
The front dust shields needed about 3/4" trimmed from each side to allow the new caliper and bracket to fit in.
Had to turn the rubber brake lines as well but they do fit with no issues at all.
I've run the Teraflex front BBK since 2010. Added the J8 m/c & booster in 2016 and the TF rear BBK last year. The system works together really well, but these days I'd really advise going with the JL BBK instead of aftermarket. It's a great price for all you get and it sounds like you can run the stock (2012+) m/c & booster with no issues.

The JL kit is working well on my JK.
The pedal feel and travel is as it was stock, and they REALLY do stop my "E" rated 35's effortlessly.
I was going to pull the MC and see if it was the 1" or 1-1/16" bore, and swap to the 1-1/16" if it was the smaller but decided against it after I drove it for a few weeks. I might check it when the weather gets warmer(no garage).
I do have a Raybestos MC391385 M/C sitting on the shelf that I picked up before I did the swap, as that is the same size that Crown suggests for their kit and the front setup seems to be pretty close to Crown's.
