Default Upper control arm bolt lose?

Hey y'all, i got under my Jeep the other day and noticed where my passenger side upper control arm attaches to the frame the bolt was all the way unscrewed and nearly touching the cat. I attempted to tighten it back up but once you screw it all the way back in, it refuses to tighten down. Any ides whats wrong? The bolt may be messed up but it dosent look to be possible to remove it with removing part of the exhaust

You would have to cut the bolt out and replace it with another from the opposite side of the arm.

The threads are probably messed up. Get a new bolt and nut and do it again but this time use blue loctite. The factory used it on the original bolts. Be sure to torque everything to specs.

Or take it to the dealer.. Did you loosen it initially, or did it loosen on its own? Should cover under warranty, I would think.

Even though it may be under warranty, to save time just go buy the bolt yourself. Make sure its grade 8. Trust me its no big deal. This is a bolt that is cut when you upgrade you control arms. BTW, torque spec is 75lbs. Let us know how things work out.

Good luck
