Default Upper control arm oops...

Ok, so when installing my teraflex front uppers I didn't have the write up with me and didn't have access to a computer or printer. so when I installed the uppers, I bolted it in using the furthest hole at the end. Once I got home, I checked the project-jk site and noticed that it was in the hole closest to the middle of the arm. I won't be able to do work on it again till friday or so. Is this going to be an issue? What's the other hole for? I'll try and take a picture of it and post it so it makes more sense. Thanks for the help.

well i can tell u thats the way i have mine.. if they were in the other hole it would hit the locker plug on the driver side.. for me it seemed to work better in that hole..i have had no issues... i couldnt get the uppers short enough in the inside hole, so i used the one u did.. my jeep drives great...maybe someone else has more input..
oh.. whats that piece of strap for hangin out?!?!?!

That strap looks like header wrap. As far as which hole to use, I dunno.

Haha...I'm assuming you're talking about the cloth like strap, kind of in the background on the left?...Yea, that's some good ol' anti exhaust rattle wrap. I landed on a rock that hit both my exhaust and crossmember. Without it wrapped up I get an annoying rattle from the exaust hitting the crossmember.

Good to know though that it won't prove to be detrimental being in that hole. I'd like to hear what Teraflex says about it and what the two sets of holes are for. How long have you had your uppers installed for?

about 1500 miles..... i was boggled for a min when installing them with this hole dillema.. i had front lowers only and upgraded to all 8 arms.. when i set the front lowers to 24', using that inside hole on the uppers, i couldnt get the length short enough. and after looking at everything for a bit i realized if i used that inside hole the excess that stuck out would hit that locker plug on the diff on the driver side..so i set it up correctly using the outside hole.. like i said no issues here..im curious what TERAFLEX says also...

hmm...thanks. I'll try and PM them, with a link to this thread, asking them about this. Sounds like I'm not the only one wondering about this.

There's nothing wrong with using either one. TeraFlex uses the same ends on our TJ arms and the extra hole is for more range for the tj's.

Thanks for clarifying this dilemma Joe!!! It said nothing in the instructions about which hole to use.
