Default Used ome shocks ??

So i got a set of long travel ome shocks only got acouple hundred miles on them but the bottoms of the shock have chips of paint coming off i guess when it was put on and off should i paint or do anything to them before i put on my jeep. Thanks for the advice?

Find the chips and glue them back on.























Or you could slap some fresh paint on them, or just leave it that way. Up to you.

so thanks for the usual garbage sarcasm from you tools, i just wanted to know if it would be better so it wont chip more or ruin them later on or weather or make em tarnish.

Don't worry about them. Especially since you live in Cali. Mine have had many,many chips over the last year and barely surface rust. These are the long travel black shocks right? If so, it's really easy to touch them up with some Rustoleum later on.

Haven't needed to touch up the shocks yet, but i hit the stabilizer with duplicolor spray on bedliner every few months. And the wheel wells. And the hard top. And the front bumper. And the...

Knock some more chips off and spray them...

lol. I use Plasti-kote spray on liner....same thing...wheel wells, floors, bumpers....I use a lot of spray on liner.
