So I've looked over the threads here on the forum about where to install an OBA kit. I like the idea likes2jeep came up with ( https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-w...-viair-309957/ ), and I've seen the 2012+ brake booster bracket mount. Anyone mounted their Viair OBA kit anywhere else? I just bought the Viair Constant duty setup ( VIAIR Corporation - Constant Duty Onboard Air System (P/N 10007) ). Pics would be appreciated. Thanks.

The center of the cargo area seem like a great way to waste all your storage space. Mines coming for Christmas and I'll be tearing out the stock muffler and dumping my exhaust before the rear axle. All that empty space where the old muffler was is more than enough for a 2 or 3 gallon tank.

I agree with what you are saying about wasting precious cargo space. I was thinking more along the lines of putting the tank vertical against the rear seats and mounting the compressor on top. I was just curious if there were any other locations that some people had used that worked well. The tank below the rear bumper would probably be my last choice as of right now. But, properly protected, that might work out. Hopefully it will work out for you. I'd like to see pics of your install once you get it done.

X2 on this. I was even thinking about a muffler skid to protect everything.

I just don't if there are issues to put the compressor there as well. I assume the air intake would need to routed somewhere for clean air?
