Default Vibrating Fan?

So I got a little muddy last weekend, drove home muddy, went to work Monday muddy, came home Monday muddy, and all was well, but this morning when the fan kicked on it was loud and vibrated my whole Jeep. It feels like it's off centered or something. I sprayed all the mud out of it that I could without taking it completely apart. It looks clean and clear of all mud, everything moves smoothly when I spin it, nothing looks damaged, but still, every time it kicks on everyone within a block knows

Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas? I guess I will be taking it apart tomorrow to see if I find anything

When I get my Jeep really dirty or jostle it around a lot, I'll get a clicking sound from my fan...

Its happened a few times but always returns back to normal within a few driving cycles once a lot of dirt has blown off(lots of dust out here in AZ, not so much mud)

I never remembered it shaking the jeep though, just loud.

I have sunk mine in water and mud a bunch of times and it made a little noise, but never a vibration!

Take it off to clean the inside of the blade, that thing can hold a lot of stuff (I found out when my fan died).

I am going to try that today. I did wash a LOT of mud off of it at the car wash yesterday It's still loud as hell and still vibrates really bad.. who knows?

Hopefully a good wash will fix it

Thanks for the replies guys

If given lemons make lemonade. You could run a hood sticker on the side or wind shield that says MY VIBRATOR

Oooooooh I like

I like it actually.. it sounds mean when the fan kicks on.. I got a lot of strange looks this morning

I just don't want the fan to break.. don't have the funds for fixing anything right now

I guess you broke a blade, check the every one and observe them carefully for cracks.

I hope someone comes out with an aftermarket fan, this seems like a common compliant.

I've had the exact same problem - a good cleaning should take care of it.
