Default vibrations

I am getting a vibration around 60 – gets worse as I go faster. Doesnt matter if I accelrate/decelerate/coast. I feel it in the floor and pedals and just some in the steering.

I have a 08 unlimited rubi 2.5 inch OME lift, FT adjustable TBs front/rear, rear adjustable upper Cas (front CAs are stock), JEREEL 1310 shafts front and rear, 35” dick ceepek FC2s, 5.13s.

Any ideas what to look at?

Its hard to diagnose through this monitor, but the general rule of thumb is if you feel it in your hands then it is your tire/s our of balance. If you feel it in your ass, it is your alignment.

Any cupping in your tires? Your track bars should solve other typical reasons for this. Your shafts should solve another... I would start with balance/rotate/alignment and see if that clears it up.

If not, then you are closer to narrowing it down...

are the backs of your front wheels clean of dried mud? Sounds like a tire balance to me, maybe youv'e lost a weight... Usually on tire balance if you feel it in your hands it's front. Feel it in your butt it's rear. A shifted belt usually acts up all the way up to speed, a balance can start at a specific speed.

Tires/wheels are clean. I was thinking balance as well. I will give that shot.
Thanks, Gents.

Thanks for the thread! I have the same problem. I vibration at higher speeds (around 65mph and above). I have an appointment for a rotate and balance Thursday. If that doesn't work I will try and adjust castor and or toe in.

Agree on suspecting tire balance. Make sure the air pressure in the tires is correct and the same on both sides, too. You may also want to rotate the tires first to see if the symptoms change or go away. Or, you could just drive under 60! Good luck tracking this down. I don't think these vehicles are super sensitive, but problems from wheel/tire balance can be a nagging pain.

This problem started when I got new gears. I also ordered some Alloy front chromolly shafts. The front shafts didnt fit, so they put my stock shafts back in. I just noticed that diff fluid is sprayed all over my driver front wheel well. I dont know how this could cause the problem, but it does seem unlikely that the tires just happen to loose balance at the same time. I cant see any sign of a lost tire weight.

In any case, I am taking her back to the shop...

You just reminded me of something when you said it just started when you got your gears done. The same thing happened to me when I had mine installed. They put the tires on the wrong corners when they reinstalled. I noticed it because one of the rear ones had a pretty bad scuff from a sharp rock on the trail. They had it on the front. I switched them back and the problem went away.

I always cross the fronts and move to the rear when rotating. I also include the spare. So the LF becomes the RR. the spare becomes the LR, and the RF becomes the spare. I move the rears straight to the fronts. I have a diagram, but some reason when I attach it, its just giving the name instead of the image.
