Violent pull to the right....What is happening????
I installed my 35" Trail Grapplers 5 days ago. I went from a tire that meausred 33" on the road to 34.25".
Since the install, the Jeep drives great. No vibrations, shaking or anything like that except when I brake hard. As soon as I apply moderate or better pressure to the brakes, the Jeep violently dives to the right.
I don't know if this is a brake issue. I am not a very technical person so I do not know if I need a steering stablizer, stronger trac bar or what I need to do. Nothing appears to be bent and the tire pressure are all even.
I have searched but did not find anything that related to this, so any help that you can provide would be great.
Thanks for the help!

Sounds like a brake issue. Do a visual inspection of the brakes to check for leaks. If none then take the wheels off and check the calipers. If one of them isn't working properly, when you apply the brakes and one side grabs, especially with the size of tread now hitting the road, you will get pulling. I had this and I took the brakes apart and cleaned them and made sure the pistons were actually working. fixed my problem. What I did is put the front up on jack stands. took the calipers off and made two pieces of wood big enough to fit inside the calipers but NOT small enought to let the piston come all the way out. Just enough to see that they are working. Then had a friend sit in the cab and actuate the brakes to confirm the calipers were not seized. Simple and effective confirmation.
Hope this is somewhat helpful. good luck!

start simple then move to complex parts.... check air pressure, do you run spacers? if so did you forget one? then brakes. dont ask how I know about the spacers
all I can say is whoops! good luck

Brake pulling issues can be elusive. Be methodical when chasing the problem down.
Do a simple things first like checking for contamination on the rotors, binding parts, and switching tires from one side to another. If you cant tell if it is front or rear pulling, switch them front first and test. If nothing changes try switching the rears. Here is a good simple link that isn't specific to Jeep, but has good basic information to start with.
Not exactly sure about the rules regarding links here, so replace the xxx with www

Thanks for the input. I will inspect tonight when I get home.
Already looked at tire pressures and they are good. No spacers so I don't have to check those.
I will let you know what I find. I didn't know if there was something that needed to be beefed up in the front end. Seems like there is an issue with that brake.

Got at it this weekend. Definitely needed from pads and rotors. Replaced everything and the problem is gone. I think I will still do n ligament with the larger tires Haven't done one in 50000 miles or so.
Thanks for all the help!
