want to go bigger
You have a D30 front axle? Start reading up on all of the weld in upgrades, and alloy or rcv shafts.
The need for driveshafts is based on lift height, not tire height. Go crawl under your jeep and look at the boot on the front shaft and the joints on both. Do you see any grease coming out?
Oh, I read that as bigger tires. Did you mean you're going to a taller lift also? You might consider a BL or just chopping the fenders instead...

With an "X", running a 4" lift and 35"s would be as much as I would go until you beef everything up!!
I would look into gussets, sleeves, gears, drive shafts, and maybe even harder axles... and if you want to go with more that 5:13 gears, you will have to swap out you're dana 30 for at least a 44...
But that is just my opinion.....
