Chromoly shafts, upper gussets at least, re gear and drivelines at a minimum. Flashpak and drag link flip kit is also going to be a must and drop pitman arm to correct your steering. I plan to do the same in the future.

If anything gusset and sleeve that D30, with new DS front and rear, save for the front 44 housing and regear in the rear 44, swap it when it breaks.

Sounds good in my head I think its what I will try!

When I looked them up I noticed my 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers weighed more than 37" GY MTRs. I will most likely go with the MTRs when these wear out. Already reenforced the D30 and will ride it until it breaks.

I interpreted his question to mean "what is the minimum I need to run 37's?", not what is needed to cover every weakness in my Jeep.

The minimum you need for 37s is a complete 2 1/2" lift, flat fenders with trimmed pinch seams, and wheels with 4 1/2" backspacing (or spacers on the stock wheels). You can run 37s with that set up. It won't be ideal without regearing the axles, but he can do it. It wont be very strong without sleeving and gusseting the front axle, but he can do it. The front axle shafts might break if he's too rough on it, but that doesn't mean he cant run it with the stock axle shafts. And for just 2 1/2" lift he doesn't need new driveshafts.

I bought a new set of Procomp Extreme MT 37s for $250 each. So he can run 37s for a minimal investment, but should plan on continuing to upgrade the weaker components as he goes.

Hear are my thoughts! Why is it a 37 vs 35 debate. Should it not be a weight debate? A 37 km2 weighs 70 lbs according to tire rack. A lot of 35s are in the 80 lbs area. So reading Jp Mag. For every 10 pounds of tire weight equals 100 lbs of weight added to your jeep essential in performance and stopping. So looking at the d30 rotating the 37 it should be perfectly fine with a low weight tire regardless of height of the tire. Does this seem to make sense? So my thinking ita weight not size. Ex. Better to get 37 at 70 lbs versus 35 falken wild peak at 81 lbs. What y'all think?

Oh I have d30 up front with sleeve and gussets. Factory shafts on a 4 inch teraflex lift.

I believe the weight of the tire is more crucial when deciding 35 or 37 verses the overall diameter of the tire. If every 10lbs of extra tire weight (unsprung weight) is equal to about 100lbs; well, then that totals to about 400lbs which is nothing to look away from.
