Default Wanting to switch from 35's to 33's need advice!!

I have been running 35's for a few months now got them used and I don't like them the gas mileage is the worst that is why I want to switch to 33's. I have a 2011 2 dr Sahara with rubicon jku coils and 2" teraflex levelling kit, I have psc crusher flares and trimmed rear flares. My question is will my jeep look funny as it is but with 33's. thanks for any help guys

Should look fine with your current lift. Did you use a pro cal when you went with 35s ?

It depends on the look that you are after. I have a JKU Sahara with a 2" zone BB. I ran it with stock Sahara wheels/tires then with 20's and 34's, then with stock rubi's and 32's and I am back to rubi's and 35's. I have a 12, no procal, and my 35's (Kelly TSR's) are returning the same gas mileage as the stock rubi's. a lot depends on the type and weight of the tire. My 34's were an e-rated duratrac and the mileage was the worst of all. The TSR's are d-rated, slightly heavier than the rubi BFG's, but an aggressive AT. I wouldn't go back down myself, but that's me. I would look at the tires first and possibly the procal. Do you calculate the mileage by hand, and correct for the actual tire size difference?

It is just that your speedometer is off. With 35" tires you are underestimating your gas mileage. Possibly as much as 25% depending on the actual tire diameter.

I haven't hand calculated my mileage but I notice a change cause I use to be able to go to and from work and would get 3 1/2 days on a tank now I get two days at the most. And I drive like an old man ugh. I don't want to re-gear as I need new tires. I just don't want my tires looking to small similar to this lol

You should be fine. My other Jeep had a 2" BB with 33's and I received nothing but compliments.

It'll still look good. I don't have trimmed fenders, but here's what mine looked like when I had 33's with 3" lift

You will be fine. Here is a picture of mine with 33's and the Teraflex BB. I just received the Rock Krawler 3.5 X Factor Plus kit.
