Default Warn 9.5cti

Just installed my Warn 9.5cti last week, and would like to share some pics. I got it from Quadratec, after a lot of debate and research. I can't really comment much on it, but the 9.5ti has always had great reviews, and I feel much better about spending the extra money, vs buying a different brand. My only regret is that I won't be using it enough. I almost went with the 9.5ti, but I like the black on the cti. I am not sure why they went to a contactor design, other than to save money? I always thought a solenoid was a better design for applications like this, and the electrical engineer at work agrees. Maybe they know something I don't, after all, I just fix stuff. Anyways, I got it for a tad under $1,100, plus a free wireless remote, which eliminates the need to trace down the wires needed to hook up the Carling switches I had installed, and an $80 rebate! I installed it with the grade 5 hardware it came with, but plan on swapping that out with grade 8. Anybody know why they don't include grade 8? The stock 2 gauge leads were set aside, for some 2/0 SGT cable, which I fixed some Anderson SB 350 connectors to. The purpose of this was so I can hook up my homemade 1/0 jumper cables, without popping the hood, and keep the winch disconnected, until I need it. All of my Uncle's farm trucks have the same set-up, and I always liked it. I still need to "set" the winches wire cable, and plan on oiling it when I do, but here are some pics.

I installed the Warn 9.5 cti also. Love the power but wish I could slow the line speed down. Well slow it down so you can hook it to your bumper or D-ring. It's fast!!
I installed the SmittyBilt XRC stinger bumper. When I installed the Warn cti I had to trim the left side bracket that holds the stock bumper. (top)

I have mine on a Benchmark Elite front bumper and love it. Works great and as has been said, really fast. I have never had a bad Warn unit.

Thanks. I would also like to comment on Quadratec's service. I included a can of the Mopar spray paint with my order, and somehow got the touch up pen bottle, and they forgot to send the wireless remote. I called and they sent out a can and the remote, which arrived the next day, and let me keep the paint pen thing. There was no hassle about it. In fact, I think it was you, Joe, who I talked to. Very good customer service, which is valuable, because mistakes will always happen. Thanks again.

I'm happy to hear everything was fixed for you! I am not on the phones, but you probably talked to Joe L. He's a good guy and always takes to the customer's best interest to get things right.

PM me for your next order, Forum members get special pricing through me
