Well today i picked this winch up for $75.
I figured it could be an interesting project for me. It was on a guys truck and he said he had been on since he owned the truck but he had only used it 3 or 4 times. Im guessing it was just a winch that sat there. I have been doing some research and found out that it is supposedly the cousin of the old Warn M8274 execpt this uses the clutch as a brake instead on the big drum on top. It has the same line speed pull( which is the fastest winch pull speed i think!). Im not sure how much work it will need but right now it needs a new cable, maybe a solonoid box, and some fresh paint and grease.
Anyone have one of these or ever heard of it?
