Default Warn Power interupt kit...

Has anyone installed this kit in their JK?

If so, where did you mount the Solenoid? I'm having trouble finding a place where it wont short on another metalic (grounded) portion of the chasis. I was thinking on the side of the battery box but its a little flimsy. Thanks

built my own with better parts that cost less(approx $40cdn) for 600amp continous duty solenoid, nicer looking switch, wire and cable ends, mounted solenoid right next to battry hold down clamp, mounted switch in daystar switch panel already installed, took switched power for switch from cig lighter on lhs(also powers my ipod)have winch in/out switch(robbed from spare remote)mounted in the old cig lighter location and wired in to winch solenoid box which gives me in cab control of winch without running remote in thru the window

When I mounted the selonoid I lifted off the top of the fuse box, just to make sure my screws didn't go down into them, but there was still plenty of space, I think I used 2 inch self tapping screws. Let me know if this helps.

sounds like a sweet setup. How did you hook it up to the winch?

I got my Warn interupt solinoid installed, just need to find a keyed power source under the dash.. I made a bracket to hold the soliniod, it fits between the battery and fuse box. I'll post pic's soon.
