Warn XD9000i winch
I bought it used off a buddy, he didn't include the hook up cables.
Does the back of your guys 9000i have a grey quick connect harness? If so, is there a harness I need that runs from the battery terminals, into a harness, that clicks into the grey harness?
Warn told me this winch doesn't have a harness and that they sell two terminal cables that bolt directly to the winch, but that doesn't seem right given there is a giant grey plastic harness coming off the back???
Any help?
Dave

Here is the winch, and the grey harness/ plug I'm talking about that comes off the back of the winch... seems like there should be a connecting harness that bolts directly to the battery terminals?
Mine has the harness as well. That model winch was made to be portable and be switch from front to rear In a receiver hitch. That's why it has the harness on it. So it can be moved easily. You dont need it. You can just cut it off and extend the wires to your battery. Or order the plug from warn.
Excellent, thanks for your help guys.
If I cut the harness off, is it as simple as butts with heat shrink to spice the cords to new battery terminal cables?
Or do you recommend the Anderson connector? Do you happen to have that connectors part number?
Thanks in advance
