Default Warranty

I have read over several threads only to not find a concrete answer to my question.
A small 2.5 BB lift running 33"s-will this affect my factory warranty at all?
It seems most say no, but has anyone needed warranty work and been hasseled or told no after installing a BB lift?

You shouldnt get hassled, they will need to prove that the lift caused the problem.

what he said. your dealer will need to prove that whatever you are getting replaced under warranty was damaged or broken because of your lift. in other words, if you got an exhaust leak, they would have to prove your lift caused it and there is no way that is going to happen.

FWIW, back when i was still under warranty, i was able to get my rear locker and steering box replaced when both took a dump. at the time, i was running a 3" lift and 35" tires.

you're right but 2.5" is enough to change the drive shaft angles and the jk uses c.v.'s and they don't like angles. i wouldn't worry about tires as it comes stock with 32". drive shafts is the only thing they could hassle you about. any axle problems should be covered.

5in of susp lift, 5.13's, front auto locker, 35's. Dealer both worked on and then replaced my transfer case under warranty. Depends on the dealer and how you act towards the service mgr. I brought mine donuts, pizza, and then beer one day.

We have a BDS 3.5 lift with MTZ 35s...we take it into the dealership all the time for warranty work with no questions asked. However they do tell us that cleaning out the sand was "no charge"...LOL.

Our big concern was if we roll it on the dunes or trail riding if the insurance company would cover damage. Progressive says they will cover up to a 4inch lift.

You will be fine...like a few members stated the dealership must prove the lift and tires were the cause of the issue. Also, if the dealership you take your JK are not great and are dinks...take it to a mod friendly dealership.
