Default Warrenty/Lockers question

I know what a lot of people r going to say, Jeeps and a warrenty don't go together. So those of u who would write that dont bother cause i just did for u. I need true life experience answers.

If I bring my jeep in for service and they see that I have ARB lockers will that void my warrenty?

That would depend on what you are having worked on. If they find that the problem can be related to the mod, then most likely they won't cover it. At least that has been my experience.

The dealer doesn't want to lose your business. They get paid well for warranty work. My battery died on a trip through Indianapolis. I am pretty sure that the winch had killed it as my LJ only had 27k miles on it at the time. I didn't have to pay for the tow or the new battery.

I know it is not lockers but that has been my experience with mods and warranty work.

As long as your Jeep does not get "red flagged", your warranty will be intact. (See the sticky post about voiding the warranty.) I have a 4.5" lift, 37's, aftermarket axle shafts and a hemi. I have had 3 or 4 things fixed under warranty. None of the items that I had fixed were "molested" with all my mods, so the dealer did the right thing and warrantied them. It all depends on the dealer..........

Still worth the time to take it in and ask.
