This is incorrect: "3) BFG KM2 - 37x12.50R17 - 36.8" @ 70lbs"

The KM2's aired down to 29 psi are around 35.5", not 36.8". I went and measured a friends while thinking about ordering them. BFG's run hella small so ignore the sizes you see on their site and others like DT and Tire Rack.

With that I love my KM2's and like how light they are but if your wanting a true 37 then dont even think about them unless you order 39's lol.

Well, yea - I'm simply stating the unmounted heights given by the manufacturer. I know all tires once mounted/seated will change as do 99% of them. That's why I have the TOYO's in there along with the ProComp's because besides the TOYO being a 13.50, the ProComps DUE run true to size as I have have 2 sets previously and run 33's now.

Thing is, next size up on a 17 for a KM2 is a 38x14.50 @ 10lbs more...AND $100 more! haha....

I understand that you listed all of the manufacture specs, but as already stated the BFGs don't come close. I was giving real world mounted specs along with what I believe is a benefit to heavier tires "toughness". I guess I was just trying to answer your question with my experiences, and that's not what you wanted?

It is, and I appreciate your input. Didn't mean to step on your toes or anything, sorry if it came across that way...hence me putting in the "beer" at the end.... Not trying to get into a back and forth conversation about an unintended comment...

No hard feelings here. I don't get all of the beers and cheers when on my phone, so I guess sometimes its easy to take something out of context.

By the way I just bumped up to 37's and chose the Toyo's. After a lot of research, just like you seem to be doing, I felt it was worth the extra weight for the added strength. That and you can't seem to get the MTRs (I'm not running a spare for now) so I didn't want to be stranded down the road if I punctured a sidewall.

Point taken as the MT/R's are rather hard to get as they are always on backorder and people are on the list for em, so it's like you are waiting on a backorder list for a backorder of a backorder....or.....something.....like that? Anywho....

Yea, the TOYO's are kinda bullet proof. Let me ask you this then since you run them....hows the tread life treating you? How many miles you think you'll get outta them?

From research I've done I believe 50k will not be a problem as long as they are maintained. At least that's what I'm shooting for. I have heard of people getting quite a bit more.

I narrowed my decision down to the Toyo's and the Nitto's, pretty much the same tire, and went with the Toyo's because I wanted the extra width.

Great, thanks for your personal insight. I plan and do all my tire rotations myself, so they will be maintained in that aspect. I also closely keep mind to making sure they are properly balanced as well. How are they balancing-wise?

The tire guy couldn't believe how well they balanced. The most weight on a wheel is 1.75oz. And one didn't need any weight. My old maxxis 315/75/16's needed 5oz a tire.

My mind is pretty dead-set on the Toyo's in a 37x13.50x17. Anyone else have some input for me on them? Not sure many are running the 13.50 as much as the 12.50 along with the 35's but i'll take some comments on them anyway....

thanks everyone...
