Question Weight on lift for JKU vs. JK

Hey guys, may be a dumb questions here goes nothing.. I know that since the 4 door obviously weighs more than a 2 door, some lifts provide more height when on a 2 door. Do all lifts do this? One of my buddies has a 2.5 in lift on his unlimited and I just ordered the same thing for my 2 door; I want to know if mine will sit higher than his? If so, how much?

Ps. I have the Rubi shocks, he has stocks. Thanks.

If its the spacer lift kit it will not sit any higher than the 2.5" added. If its a spring kit it will vary. Not only by 2dr or 4dr but by which kit you buy. For example, TF makes 2 2.5" kits, one for the 2dr and one for the 4dr. The 4dr kit will sit higher than the 2dr kit when installed in the 2dr. Other companies strictly make one kit for both 2dr and 4dr and they usually sit near an inch higher in the 2drs due to the spring rate and the differences in weight. If you are looking for the weight differences just cruise on over to Jeeps website and check them out.
