Weird warning light behavior
SOLVED.... my case at least, you are not gonna believe this one. After countless hours of research I thought maybe my winch is causing the problem so I went to disconnect it from the battery terminals and guess what.
The positive terminal was lose, the nut was tight but the terminal loose.. Why...
Because I put the winch terminals over it and the nut has a conical flange and will not tighten the terminal with another conector on top of it.
So to those of you who just added extra connections to the main stud... REMOVE THEM, then tighten the battery terminals again and you should see they won't move...... No problems ever since.
My 2 cents

Damn, I was gonna suggest loose battery terminals but you beet me to it. I was having the same issues as the video. My dealer - who is a complete retard and will never touch my Jeep again - said it was some loose wiring that they replaced. Total BS because the problem came back less than a week later.
The nut from the terminal loosened itself off. Popped a new nut on and all is well again. Haven't had a problem for months.

I have a 2012 freedom edition. This past week driving down the road lights and bells keep going off. No other problems. I also have a winch. Have to check out the battery and battery connection issues.
Had the same thing happen doing 80mph on a road trip after about 120mi straight. 07 X with winch also....couldn't find anything wrong and hasn't happened since. I've read this about the clock spring on another forum before though.
Pretty tight...no play and no corrosion. Just thought it was a freak deal until I saw others having the same problem but having only happened once I'm not in a hurry to run out and replace the clock spring. My family owns a spring shop that can custom make any type of spring or wire form so if it does go out I'll design a better one and just be in it for the labor. If anyone has the specs or a spare worn or in good condition I'll be happy to come up with something if we can generate enough interest. PM me for the address or more info
Just pulled my grounded winch cable off my battery and may have found the culprit. The nut that tightens the cable to the battery doesn't properly tighten down when something is attached. I moved the cable to the other post and haven't seen the issue since. Lets root for this being the issue.
