Default Weld in cage

I was currently looking to purchase an ORFab, or Poison Spyder bolt in cage. I am now leaning towards doing a weld in, custom cage. Does anyone sell just the sideplate that runs along the dash? I love the design of the Poison Spyder but would like to design my own weld in cage. I know BTF used to make them for TJ's but can't find any for JK's

If your capable and competent enough to design and build a full custom cage Im sure you can make the same plate. Or better yet do it right and take the A-pillar thru the dash

^ that side plate offers very little strength, best to go thru the dash. Rock hard may sell that as a windshield kit.

I was wondering about the strength. Seems the Poison spyder is the best design. THat being said, how difficult is it to run the tube through the dash. I don't mind cutting into things, I just don't want to start and find out it is an impossible task. I also daily drive the jeep 15-18K miles per year and don't want to modify the dash to the point it creaks.

IF strength is a concern then do it right. Going thru the dash isnt the end of the world just time consuming.
