Weld on JK Rear Spring Perches
Looking at cutting off the OEM rear spring perches and welding on new ones at a better angle to correct the bow in the rear springs. 3.5in lift with adjustable control arms.
Question: How many degrees of angle do I add to the weld on perches? Seems like the "correction plate kits, non weld on" that go under the springs are 10 degrees? One would assume I would add 10 degrees to what ever the OEM angle is?

I'd think this is going to be one of those things that is different for every jeep depending on how your arms are adjusted and the lift you are netting. if i were doing that on my jeep, i think i would mock this up under the jeep so it was perfect, tack in place, and then get to work. maybe that is just too much effort though, and maybe the axle isn't under the jeep to start with.
Yeah you are likely correct. I bet I could take a ride height measurement, remove tires/wheels, shocks etc. Cut off OEM perches, lay the weld on perches on the axle tube w/springs and jack the axle back up to ride height and tap the perches forward or rearward till the springs are straight, hell bet I could even use my laser level to help "square up" the springs. Thanks, I guess I just needed to think through it a bit. The axle is still under the Jeep but was planning on removing it for this work and weld on track bar bracket, etc.
