Default Weld on LCA skids

Going to be welding on rear LCA skids tomorrow. Would it be ok to leave control arms bolted up ?
Or should I drop them ? Wondering if the heat would hurt them.

I was cautious and dropped them. Only takes a couple minutes. Didn't want to nuke the bushings or grease.
