Default Welding front Teraflex LCG brackets

I'm in the middle of the installation of the Teraflex LCG Longarm system. Has anyone input on welding the new front control arm brackets to the frame?
I found out that each bracket have two long slits cut into them. Are these slits meant for an additional welding point, or are they just some sort of stress relief for the brackets?

I can't find any pictures of the new type of bracket completely welded on (only pictures of the old version of brackets...)

Thankfull for any help

/John
