Exactly why I put them where I did. I figured it really didn't matter where they were as long as the were letting air out. And for a whole lot less money I like these more than the other options out there.

For those of you that have done this have you noticed anything? My fan comes on a whole lot less when I'm in stop and go traffic and I can actually touch my hood when I get home! Just seeing what everybody else that has done it thought.

Not to high jack, but what super charger are you running? I like the vents, and am running Ripp SC. With an exposed K&N type filter, I also wonder about water...

I run the RIPP as well and the open air filter sits right in front of these vents. You can see it when your looking towards the front of the jeep down in the vent but there's really no way for water to get onto there

I drive it in reverse at 50+mph during a rainstorm!
