Default What’s this male obd2 plug for?

What’s this male obd2 plug for? My thoughts are the previous owner had a chip or a tuner plugged in here.. Jeep dealership didn’t know what it was but said it’s causing a bunch of codes when they wiggle it.. jeeps going into loss of power mode.

Y, that is certainly aftermarket, and my guess would be the same.......to a /programmer/tuner from the previous owner. Are you able to trace where that wiring loom is going?
