Question What 2" or 2.5" lift with bumper/winch weight?

HI ,
First time post. JK Fourm Rookie.....I have a 2 door 07 Rubicon(stock so far). I have read numerous post and viewed many pics. I am looking for your recommendations for a 2" or 2.5" inch lift to accommodate 33"MTZ's. I will be adding a front bumper and Suuperwinch EPi9 after lift/tires....I am guessing at 200-250lbs of added nose weight. I am assuming I need to install the lift, determine rake with added weight and then compensate by adding springs or spacers. I am leaning toward the TF BB. Is this a good choice and will I be able to compensate the forward rack with this lift? .......Thanks, Logan

I am running the Rough Country with 2.2 Shocks. $285 shipped (forum members get a 10% discount if you call it in) It has 2.5" up front and 2" in the rear. My bumper winch combo is pretty heavy and it came out perfect.

Oh and IMO you want to keep a little rake with the way gas prices are going. I had my lift in prior to putting the bumper and winch, mileage was brutal. Once I added the stuff up front it went back to stock mileage.

What's your budget? The OME 2.5" HD lift with FT front & rear trackbars is a good option and gets your where you need to be. It's pricey though.

The TF BB is a great budget option also. Read this sticky for some good information:

Good luck!

On my four door X I have the RC 2.5" lift with the 2.2 shocks. Front has a Shrockworks mid-width bumper and Warn PowerPlant with synth line and aluminum fairlead. Also have Shrockworks rock rails. Some here on JK-Forum say they need spacers with such a combo, but in my case the rake, without any additional spacers, came out perfectly level (checked on a level parking lot with a four foot carpenter's level on the rock rail).

I have the 4 door, with the Teraflex Budget Boost. I haven't put the winch and bumper on yet, and it is already sitting nose low. I might end up getting a set of 3" front springs to level it out. Maybe put your winch and bumper on first, and see what you need to level it out. Hindsight for me says maybe a 2-1/2" in front, and 1-3/4" spacers in rear. ??
