Default What is it?

New noise. Ive heard it 4 times now in 1 day. It almost sounds like squeeky brakes, high pitch, and constant. It will only stop when I bring the jeep to a COMPLETE stop. Doesnt sound like its comming from back, but cant tell if its front, right, or left side. Almost seems to be directly in the middle.(if that makes any sense.) Changed the brakes, and still heard it again after that.
What could this be?

this happened to me i thought it was the brakes it was the rear passenger axle seal. it was pissing diff fluid all over my new wheels.. i was not happy. the sound was driving me nuts. it almost sounds like there is a rick stuck between the rotor and the pad. i would crawl under the jeep and check for leaks on the front and the rear seals on the axle. if they are leaking you will see diff fluid on the inside of your wheel..

hope this helps

Make sure they put oil back in there... it needs two quarts... Go check it now... They need their oil

Default Return It

Ship it back to the dealer, it could be any number of things; not nessesarily what they did yesterday. Maybe a backing plate got bent putting it on the lift, a heat shield could be rubbing, any number of gremlins could have cropped up....

So it ended up being the rear driver side brake. the pad was warn down to the squeaker. When we took the old brake pads off there was sooo much rust, I couldnt believe it. although I was really hoping it was my driveshafts.
