It won't give you a gigantic difference, but if you're replacing it anyway, I would go with K&N. I have an AEM CAI and honestly, could not be happier. I never go in deep water so there is no issue with water being sucked in, and although most people will say there isn't a huge difference with a CAI, I definitely noticed a difference. I installed the AEM before my exhaust, and there was much more grunt to the engine and it accelerated a tiny bit faster. Running a stock X with 3.21s, I need all the help I can get!

True. But if you Jeep gets dusty on the outside you may find fine dust on the inside of your K&N. Since I have been driving in desert conditions I have switched back to paper filters.
K&N's don't actually save much money when you factor in the cost of the cleaner and oil. Paper filters reliably keep the dirt out of your engine and there's no hassle cleaning them.

When my stock paper filter needs replacing I go to NAPA and buy one of their paper filters. It's made by WIX and works just as good if not better than the Mopar.
