Default What is the best Rock guard / Step?

Next month, with my body lift, my Jeep will be 5" higher than stock. Therefore, I want to sell my Rubi Rock Rail and buy a Rock Guard / Step. What is the best one?

The biggest step is choosing Frame mount or Body mount. That is the really big divider when comparing. If you go frame i really like the LOD's. If you go Body I have heard a lot of good things about Pure Jeep

I don't agree with Sonic, I couldn't get into my jeep if I couldn't use my Shrock rails as a step. They are at just the perfect height for me.

Edited to add, I don't agree that they are worthless as a step. I definitely do agree that they are awesome for offroad.

A little grip tape on the rail and some grab handles and the Shrockworks are awesome. Pay a little more and order from Screaming Lizard or you won't see them before Summer.

I have river raiders and love them, but they are useless as a step. The bar is way too high, just like most body mount ones. The frame mount ones, like Shrocks or A to Z fab, are usually better as steps because the bar tends to be lower.

Many thanks!

I think I will go with a frame bolt on model, because the step is a little bit lower.

I have the shrockworks and they are great. They are very strong offroad. My girl uses the step all the time to get in. I put a bit of grip tape on them to make them less slippery for her.
