Default What is this? It came with my winch.

This part came with my winch. Do I attach it to the battery and the power cable? The instructions don't say anything about it.

Is it one of those winches made in North Korea? What type of winch is it? Looks like one of them multiple switch operation stations to me.

update: now it looks like an extra part, by looking at the install instructions on Quadratec.com sight. It looks like something I would buy to add a operating switch inside the Jeep?

Might be a fuse? Odd look to it though. ANL fuses (200-250A or so) are more common for this kind of thing...

I came with my Superwinch LP8500.
Next the the copper posts, it says "BAT" and has an empty hole for the terminal, and it has a nut on the other end for the cable. I just don't know if I need it, and if it goes on the power or the ground.

i have that, i think its fuses? it goes to the power if i'm not mistaken.

edit: just checked the jeep, i have it attached to the end of the red cable (power), then to the power on the battery. I'm pretty sure they are fuses.

Cool. I doubt I'll ever hit 88 miles per hour, though.

If you ever do, you know you're prepared. Seriously though, those are not fuses. They're circuit breakers. One side is for battery and the other side is for.....well.....whatthehellever. Why it came with your winch is really a mystery. None of them would be enough to hold all the amperage of the winch....not even all of them together.
