Default What to do with center brake light

I recently installed the TeraFlex HD hinge and tire carrier and I'm trying to figure out where I should mount my center brake light. The kit comes with a mount to fix the light to the two top lug nuts of the spare tire. Right now, I have the light twist-tied to my spare tire.

The problem is I run a spare tire mounted bike rack.

Anyone else have this set up? Where did you mount your brake light?

There's no law that requires a third brake light.

Just ditch it.

Thanks. I'll take a look at that part. Most of the relocation brackets don't fit the new carrier.

I was expecting "If you wanted a third brake light, you should have bought a Prius!!!"

I failed inspection for not having a 3rd high mounted brake light last month in Louisiana. Didn't say anything about me not having fenders or tire cover on the back lol.

It varies by state. AZ doesn't care, passed inspection last week. But Cali might, check out the DMV website and you should be able to find a big boring document of required equipment for a vehicle.

I'm using the offroad elements brake nuts. I'm assuming they're legal in MO. I'll find out when I do my inspection next year.

Brake Nuts Lug Light Kit for Jeep Wrangler | Offroad Elements

They look hidden but they're really bright.

CA does require a 3rd brake light...but only a CHP officer would cite you for something so petty
